Dear Friend of WCPE,
I'd like to begin by saying "Thank You!" for listening to and for caring about WCPE; listeners like you make tax-deductible gifts which cover 100% of our costs.You know that no tax money goes to WCPE; we depend on our listeners for everything.
In this letter, I am asking you for a special middle-of-the-year gift to help ensure that we do not need to interrupt our summertime programming with a summer fund drive.
I was tempted to do a special summer on air mini-fundraiser, but instead, I felt that an honest appeal through the mail to you would be appreciated, and that you would respond to this request. For the remainder of the year, we need just over $1,200,000.Today I want to ask you to help raise one-fourth of that amount, so that by September, we can be back on our financial target.

It may seem as if that much money is an impossible amount to raise to keep WCPE running, and I worry that you might think your individual donation won't matter.
